Sign & display finishing simplified
Digital flatbed and large format printers are becoming faster. Kongsberg digital cutting solutions increase the throughput by intelligent automation and by integrating cutting tables with workflow software for production control. Producing packaging, POP displays and signage was never this fast before.
Simplified platform choice
There are two primary families – Kongsberg X and Kongsberg C – each having a range of table sizes and configurations.
Kongsberg X offers the flexibility of upgrading to add more cutting, creasing and milling tools as the business needs develop.
Kongsberg C is the number one choice for short run production, building on the existing Kongsberg C line, which has been extended with smaller table sizes.
A range of impressive automation innovations will boost the performance of digital finishing operations to industrial levels: Robotized on and offloading, a new range of i-BF board feeders, multi-zone cutting. Read more about Esko's automation innovations.
Increasing production throughput
The new Auto Tool Adjust on Kongsberg tables uses camera inspection and digital image processing to adjust the tool in the machine at the start of each job. This feature ensures that the tooling always runs with perfect alignment, which is a prerequisite for producing high quality output at high processing speed.
Esko’s powerful preflight and nesting solutions get files print-ready; advanced nesting functionality minimizes material waste. The Auto Tool Adjust makes sure that the cutting parameters are optimized and that the Kongsberg table cuts with perfection.

Better estimating protects margins
When a job is estimated and quoted, it is important to know how long the job will take to produce. With accurate job estimation, companies are able to communicate better quotes and forecast more accurate delivery times to their customers.
The new Kongsberg Estimating software module generates production estimates automatically, based on production metadata such as substrate type and thickness.
Device Manager -a brand new module for Esko’s workflow automation software, Automation Engine- gives better control over the finishing production.
Work in progress and the status and queues of all connected devices are clearly visualized on screen. The software determines optimal sheet nesting to increase production capacity. Operators use an intuitive drag-and-drop interface to prioritize table queues, insert rush jobs and even balance workloads between tables.
